Freddie
Freddie is alone in his room. He worships at the shrine of his idol and alter ego, a flamboyant shape-shifting deity with an incredible vocal range and huge charisma. Transgressive and defiant, Freddie invites the audience to share in the ceremony of this extraordinary day.
Written by award-winning Cuban writer Abilio Estévez, and translated by Kate Eaton, Freddie was first presented as a rehearsed reading at the Out of the Wings Festival in August 2019 at the Omnibus Theatre in London. Colombian actor Santiago del Fosco (Everflea, CASA Festival 2019) reprises his role as the title character.
