La Nariz (The Nose)
The Nose is a stage adaptation of Russian writer Nicolai Gogol’s classic novel of the same title. The play is a satire which mixed dark humour and realism in its performance with dashes of fantasy and surrealism in its themes. It seeks to provoke a reflexion on vanity, individualism, alienation and institutional bureaucracy within the context of modern urban life. It premiered for a full run at the Sidarte Theatre in Santiago de Chile in July 2010.
